The mission of the Ivy Community Service Foundation of Cary, Inc. is to enhance the quality of life through program development and financial support in the areas of arts, economics, education, family and health.
Greetings from the Ivy Community Service Foundation of Cary (ICSF)!
ICSF was founded in 1998 by the Sigma Tau Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. as its non-profit, philanthropy partner to help better serve the needs of Triangle residents. I am privileged to serve as president, and on behalf of our Board of Directors and two hundred (200) members, thank the Triangle community for its support and contributions of much-needed financial resources to help further our service-driven mission.
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. said, “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?’ ” Throughout our history ICSF has responded to that question by providing scholarships to college students, offering youth mentoring initiatives, sponsoring programs designed to improve health disparities, teach and promote financial literacy and wealth creation, support family initiatives and awarding grants to community-based organizations across our region. Your contributions have also allowed us, through the formation of strategic and collaborative partnerships with schools and other organizations, to assist with affordable housing development, service of meals to school age children and senior citizens and restoration of community playgrounds.
As ICSF works toward the fulfillment of our 2020 strategic plan, your continued support is critical. We have embraced the theme, “Expanding Service through Higher Levels of Giving”, and your partnership matters now more than at any other time in our history. Please join us at our fundraising and community service events and consider making a tax deductible personal and/or corporate contribution. We invite you to stay in touch as we strive to enhance the quality of life for citizens of our community.
