ABOUT US
The Ivy Community Service Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)3 nonprofit tax-exempt organization.
The Foundation was established in 1998 to respond to the needs of the community by offering exemplary service initiative and progressive programs. Contributors and supporters of community service programs and fundraisers sponsored by the Foundation are able to receive the benefits of tax exemption for their contributions. Funds raised by and through the Foundation finance programming efforts in educational advancement as well as community service programs that target the following areas: the arts, economics, education, family and health.
Since incorporation, the Foundation has donated over $50,000 in academic and need-based scholarships. Recipients of Foundation funded grants and contributions have included Dress for Success, Raleigh Rescue Mission, National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), Pretty in Pink Foundation, American Cancer Society, the Carying Place, MATCH (Mothers And Their CHildren) Program, and Thanksgiving and Christmas Cheer.
Signature community service programs sponsored by the Foundation include the Minority Business Expo, Women @ Work Networking Retreat, Cultivating Adolescent Potential (CAP) Mentoring Program, Earn, Save, & Prosper Financial Workshop for middle school students, Emerging Young Leaders Mentoring Program, Art 4 Everyone, and Habitat for Humanity/Women Build.
The Pearls With A Purpose Charity Gala is the Foundation’s signature fundraising event. For 12 years, the Foundation and the Sigma Tau Omega Chapter have hosted an evening of Jazz, Soul, and Rhythm & Blues. For the Foundation, the Gala serves as a showcase of its community service commitment to the citizens of Cary, North Carolina and western Wake County by highlighting its grant recipients and beneficiaries of the generous contributions received from its supporters.
